My Vegan Valentine At Home 2021 Recap
After the magic of our 2020 event, I couldn’t wait to host My Vegan Valentine again. But with the world still dealing with COVID, I had to figure out how to bring that same feeling of love, connection, and delicious vegan food to everyone – safely. That’s how the idea for an **at-home experience** was born.
I’ll be honest – I was nervous at first. Could a dinner kit capture the same special vibe as an in-person event? But as I started putting them together, it felt exciting. Each kit included a beautifully prepared menu and a paint set, so couples could enjoy dinner and then create something together – their own little paint night at home.
We had so much fun making these kits. My kitchen turned into a mini assembly line, with every detail carefully packed to make the evening feel special. When couples started sharing photos of their meals and paintings, it melted my heart. It felt like I was right there celebrating with them.
Hosting in 2020 was all about energy, laughter, and the buzz of a sold-out room. I could feel the excitement in the air and see the smiles after every course. 2021, on the other hand, was quieter – just me in the kitchen, prepping and packaging everything with care. Instead of setting tables, I was lining up boxes and double-checking every detail.
It was a different kind of challenge – no guests to feed in real-time, but the pressure of making sure each kit carried the same magic as a night out. When photos started rolling in of couples enjoying their meals and paintings, it gave me that same feeling – joy, connection, and gratitude.
One thing I loved most was hearing from parents who said they wouldn’t have been able to come to an in-person dinner but could still enjoy this from home. That got me thinking – maybe this could be a tradition, offering both an in-person dinner and an at-home option every year.
Thank you to everyone who embraced this unique version of My Vegan Valentine. It reminded me that love, good food, and a little creativity can bring us together – no matter where we are.
